Participants will gain an understanding of the College's communication ecosystem, the role of the Communications team, and the tools and processes that support effective internal communication.
The course explores best practices for using Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, branded templates, and communication request processes, while helping staff choose the right communication methods for different audiences and situations. Participants will also learn how to responsibly use artificial intelligence tools to enhance productivity while protecting institutional data, maintaining privacy, and verifying information accuracy.
Through practical examples and workplace scenarios, staff will strengthen their skills in active listening, constructive dialogue, conflict resolution, inquiry-based communication, and crisis response. The course emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, and accountability, empowering employees to build stronger relationships, reduce misunderstandings, and contribute to a culture of trust and respect across the College.
